The vertical composition depicting a haloed, richly dressed and pearl-adorned Raj Singh standing opposite his advisor, a grey hawk perched on his left hand covered with a glove, his other hand clenched around a gold hilted tulwar sword, a push dagger slotted into his golden belt, his advisor dressed more conservatively in red, the scene set within black and white rules, and a burgundy border, the recto with three private property stamps.
The reverse of the painting identified as Raj Singh ll and presents three property stamps, respectively, Bhanwar Devendra Singh, Bh. Suraya Vijay Singh Shekhawat and Kumar Sangram Singh (ap. 3), all of Nawalgarh. These are all renowned Indian art collectors and connoisseurs. A standing portrait of Rao Raja Bhim Singh of Uniara, sold at Christie's London, 12 June 2018, lot 13, and another painting a portrait of Prince Bhupal Singh and his teachers, sold at Chiswick,London, 16 April 2021, lot 359, presented the exact same property stamps of the three above-mentioned Nawalgarh collectors.
